absolutely.
Polanski plead guilty to the judge and got 42 days psychiatric evaluation.. -. whatever that means/involves.
It was waaaaaay too lenient by ANY standard. It's no surprise they (the DAs) had to press for something harder.
It was a poorly handled case from the start.
Polanski committed a crime, no doubt about that. He was not in any sense wrongly accused or a victim.
Apparently many french were outraged that he was arrested while on his way to accept an award. So what?!
What difference does it make what he was doing or how old he is now?..
some war-criminals were caught when they were over 80. Was there a public outcry for them?
