kitty/putty drop connection problem

Connection tab: keep alive set at "5" and enabled

but more importantly: Connection->SSH->Kex: Max minutes before rekey: "2" (default is 60).

My putty was losing its key after a while causing the timeout. dropping that value to "2" minutes solved the problem. I stay connected indefinitely now.
